A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Wet Hot American Summer limited prequel series coming to Netflix later this summer, titled Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. A teaser trailer was released back in January confirming the series' gigantic cast.
The trailer is an advertisement for Camp Firewood, the fictional camp at which the movie and this series takes place. The movie, which is written by, directed by, and stars members of the MTV comedy group The State, takes place in 1981 and tells the story of the last day at camp, while this new series is a prequel taking place on the first day of that same summer camp season.
Because of the year the show is set in, this trailer ad for the camp is presented in the nostalgia-inducing style of an old VHS video tape. There's something very strange about watching a VHS-style video in 1080p. You can check it out below. [...]
