As its title suggests Captain America: Civil War will center on the infighting between two of the greatest Avengers: Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). It will still be a film that focuses mainly on its titular hero, while also marking the first time that a hero like Iron Man will appear in a role bigger than a cameo. With the world recovering from the events of Ultron's attack on the Earth, Sokovia Accords was created in order to regulate the deployment of enhanced individuals, particularly the Avengers, orchestrated by world governments.
We saw a little bit of that in action in the first trailer for the film, and now a new featurette that can be seen in the Phase 2 Box Set helps explain how it all led up to Civil War in greater detail, and how the Marvel Cinematic Universe's newest hero will play the role of the "monarch."
